I doubt you can get enough slack to push them in place w/ the other end of axle anchored to the wheel hub. Worth a try. It takes some excess force usually to get them to fully engage. I've always had some problems w/ this enagagement, and have had to re-install the "old" snap ring when new snap ring refused to allow the joint to engage. Not the best design when tolerances are so close.

good luck

I suspect the snap rings will only be available from Honda. Check your old snap rings. Unless they are scarred or obviously damaged, I've decided its easierto reuse them. Clean the splines and clean beneath the snap ring w/ a stiff brush and some solvent. Relube and give it a go.

good luck

Well i cleaned the C/v's and it haulted the leak almost- its coming at at a very slow rate now which leads me to believe the seal is bad - but its a sustainable rate now - overall shift quality is still horrible- and the fluid was so burnt and disgusting when i drained it - i think im going to just have to accept the fast that the tranny is on its way out - so im in the market for a used F23/22 H23/22 Automatic tranny if anyone has - i would do that manual swap but this thing just needs to be my daily driver at this point.
