I have a 92 accord 4cyl with 230,000 mi the trans was rebuilt at about 1st 100,000 mi per previous owner. I heard you can by a used trans for about 400 bucks with 40-60k on it. Should I look for a used one or get mine overhauled. what would be financially better in the long run?

 

Right salvage yards "Never" have any thing with over 70k miles on them. Salvage yard trans is a roll of the dice. But less than 1/2 the cost of getting one rebuilt by a Good Tech.
With the miles you have, I would go for a salvage yard transplant; just be sure you get some kind of warranty from the salvage yard.
