Default Fan motor

My 94 EX has over heated 2 days in a row. I added water last night and filled up the radiator. I knew my cap was old and the rubber was peeling, so I replaced that. I drove to work and once I got into traffic, it over heated again. I just check the radiator and it was empty again, so I filled it and started it to check for a leak. The temp gauge got to the normal level, and I had no leaks.

Is there a way to test the fan motor, I have a feeling it is not engaging like it should. It does turn on when I turn on AC.

Motor will usually not overheat even if fans aren't running unless you stop in traffice after driving. Even 20 mph is enough cooling air if continuous.

More likely you have a leak allowing coolant to escape. Suggest having a cold pressure leak test performed, or using rental tool from Autozone, etc to perform test yourself. You need to find leak and repair.

good luck
