I haven't found any threads with these specific issues I'm having, so I'm asking them here.

1. My dashlights flicker on/off when driving. If I mess with the dimmer control switch they will come back on. Is this a short in the dimmer so would I have to replace it?

2. My D4 light doesn't light up at all. I've heard it's supposed to light up for a few seconds on startup, but it doesn't.

If anyone knows the solution to these problems, help would be greatly appreciated!

 

It sounds like a loose connection or a short in the dimmer switch.

The D4 light bulb may be burned out. Removing the cluster is a bit more involved. You have to remove the center console, radio bezel, then the plastic bezel that has the heater controls. Then you remove the cluster.

Download a 94 shop manual from the online shop manuals link in the common diy thread on top of this forum. It will help out a lot.
