Default RE: Finding the Radio code

I pressed & held the buttons honadude said to on my radio and as I suspected...no reference number. of course I didn't expect one since I know mine doesn't have anti theft.
Did you look for the little anti theft light?
My thoughts are: Your car is exactly the same as mine except yours is auto & mine is 5spd. MyHonda Owner'sManual says only the EX, EX V6 and Canadian SEmodels have anti theft radios that requirecodes.
I seriously doubt your car has an anti theft radio unless your car is an EX, EX V6 or a Canadian SE.

If your car has the original radio, it has no code. I replaced mine with one from an EX and it did have a code. The 1 and 6 button trick does not work on ALL coded radios. If you had to pull the radio, it is a 5 minute job on an LX. Check with Honda re: Honda Service Bulletin #06-009 dated March 22, 2006 and give them your VIN to see if your car qualifies for the 10 year - 150,000 mile warranty extension for OPDS or OPDS sensor which will trigger the light. It should read a code 15-1, 15-2, 15-3. If your car is on that list, you should be able to get a code scan out of it for free even if this isn't the actual problem.

find the 3 pin grey connector

Next unplug it and on the harness side jumper the Black wire connection to the Blue/Red tracer wire connection.
That lies to the SRS unit and says the seat belt is buckled.

Then start up and go for a short drive...if the SRS light is now off, plug it all back up and take it to the dealer.
Don't tell them how you figured it out.

my 98 LX had that litte red light......also when I registerd the car with owner's link it asked me to enter the code.. I think it depends upon what model of LX you have.if you get the V6 car you get a few more goodies like abs.....standard

places you can find your radio code in your car

glove box
trunk lid or on the under side of the rear shelf
under cover of fuse box

usually it is a white little sticker with 5 digits on it.

Sometimes it will have the serial number but not the code.

Followed Hondadude's instructions on jumpering the seatbelt 3pin connector. No luck, the light still shines bright! [&o]
