Default Fuel Filter

When should I change it? Car has 140k miles on it right now.

If you want to change the filter, I found this link that shows location of various models along with some IPB's. (Illustrated Parts Breakdowns).

I have my engine out right now that is why I was wondering if I should change the filter out as it is easy to get to right now.

Sounds like a plan, than you'll know for sure that's one part that won't ever have to be replaced again. I just changed out my distributor and rotor at 150K+ miles. Just a little peace of mind.

My 97 has almost 150K miles and still running the original fuel filter. I was temped to change it several times but elected not to.
