Fuel Filter Leak

Fuel Filter Leak
My girlfriend's car wouldn't start the other day. We had hoped it was a clogged fuel filter, so we changed that. And now her inlet fitting is leaking fuel. I have the copper gasket in there. Are there any tricks to stop this from leaking? I haven't really found any helpful information in regards to this problem on google.

For the fuel filter banjo fitting, there should be two new sealing washers used. The leak would most likely have to do with the washers (for example, some people have a leak due to using one washer instead of two or the washers are not the best ones). If you did use two washers and already snugged it up, then get two new sealing washers and try again. Sometimes the washers provided with aftermarket fuel filters are not the correct sealing washers. Match them up with your original washers to see if they are similar.
See the attached parts image for the position of the two washers.

I guess I kind of misread your post due to original post mentioning the copper washer. So, the leak isn't on the banjo fitting with the two washers; but, the flared hard line bringing fuel (inlet, like you said) into fuel filter? Like shown in the following link and image.

Did the threads and the hard line look okay? If they do, remove the hard line again and this time while pushing the hard line in, tighten the fuel line nut and see if it still leaks.

Yes it is the fuel inlet. The new filter I bought had a smaller copper gasket as well. I assumed this went with the inlet fitting but now that I think about it, the filter could have been for really any other car. I will not install the gasket and try it. I will try pushing the line and tightening the bolt at the same time. Thanks for the replies.

That same filter probably covers a couple different cars. Sometimes, the banjo-bolt has a smaller bolt inside it. (That's for a fuel-pressure-gauge fitting.) Maybe that's what the extra gasket was for.
The supply pipe (lower-right in that picture) DOES NOT use a gasket.
