Question Fuel Pressure Banjo Bolt Size?

I had to revise this question looking more into it.

Although the FSM says theres a service bolt, I cant find it. Theres nothing along the fuel rail other than the point where the fuel line meets the rail. I couldnt tell if the point where the bolt threads on was closed off or is open to be used for testing.

If it is, does anyone know the size? I wanna say 1/8" npt male that needs a female with possibly a hose barb end.

If that is closed off, what other point can I test the pressure at? Would the fuel filter work?

This is the point that I'm thinking I can use instead (where you see the fuel rail attached to the fuel line, not the service bolt)

What fuel rail are you running? I know the car is a 97 but you have a different motor in it (F23?), hence the question.

Also pic's are always nice.

f22b1 fuel rail. I dont know why this one doesnt have it. My cars weird. But the fuel rail looks stock, theres just no service port. I know I can get a fuel pressure tester for hondas from ebay but I'm wondering if theres an easier option.

Autozone stores in my part of the country loan out fuel pressure testers for free. It includes a T-fitting that attaches to the top fuel filter banjo bolt.

Most cars have a standard schrader valve on the fuel rail, so you could rent a standard fuel pressure tester. The 90-97 accords had a metric adapter that was impossible to find. I made an adapter that worked ok, but that was a pain to do.

I think the loaner tools at the parts stores have gotten better and can be used on most cars sold in the US.

Here is a pic of the adapter. It is circled in red.

Thats a good idea to make the adapter. I may try that eventually. Oddly enough the FSM says that there should be a service port anyways. I found the kit I need and will call tomorrow to see if I can find it or a similar one as a loaner tool.

after reading this & other threads Re: fuel pressure testing. am I correct in assuming there is no shrader valve on the fuel rail to screw a fuel pressure tester to it ? & I'll need to hook it up to the banjo bolt on the fuel pressure regulator ?
Thanks for answers in advance

I don't think it's the same for all model Accords. On 90-97 Accords there should be a blind threaded plug that can be removed to allow a fuel pressure adapter to be threaded in. See above pic circled be PAH.

The adapter would have a schrader valve male interface to connect to fuel pressure gauge.

good luck
