hey i have a 90 accord standard trans,enine cranks over but sparks fly from starter???

Give us more details...

Electrical sparks, as if the starter solenoid (or the motor brushes) are arcing BADLY? Maybe replace either the solenoid contacts or the motor brushes (whichever). Or if you feel like getting a new/rebuit starter assembly...

Mechanical, big loud grinding noises along with sparks? Maybe the starter pinion gear is NOT retracting like it should, and when the engine starts, it's grinding itself to bits?
