Hard start and rev problem
ECT sensor is under the distributor. A two wire connector w/ grn/wht and yel/grn wires. Have you checked or replaced this sensor?
If not check that resistance is in range 1-3 Kohms w/ engine cold. If not, sensor may be faulty. If OK, you may have a wiring or connector fault. Check again at ECU/engine harness connector under pax side dash for same wires at the connector. Resistance should be very similar. If zero or open, look for wiring damage somewhere between ECM connector and ECT harness side connector.
If resistance checks good at both locations, then suspect a ECM internal fault. Used units are readily available and inexpensive.
good luck

So with some research I think I have a leaking injector causing the car to run rich and smoke....I am planning to put a turbo on this motor so I need some advice on programmable ECU's and injector size....any input on brand of ECU and injector size
It still has code. Etc is new and are working within spec. Have to trace wires to the ecu and test wires there. The turbo kit and other upgrades were baught before the vehicle started having all the issues... The code 6 has been there since before I got the car...will fix all problems before I upgrade.
