Actually, there might be a few things going on here. Your car should idle below 1000 (500-700 rpms to be exact). I'd check/clean your air filter first. If that looks good you may need new spark plugs or injectors. Does it only stall while trying to idle? Or does it want to stall other times.

The idle is controlled by the coolant temp in the manifold, so there's no screw or anything to change it (at least on my 96 accord). Good luck man!

well you have to tell us which year car you have.... it really depend on if its fuel injected or carb. if its carb you have a vacuum leak, and if its FI,,well then you have a problem with your idle air control valve. the latter does happen sometimes on 90-93 accords.

Your car should be FI then. Sounds like the idle air control valve too. My friend had a 91 accord that used to bounce around 400 and 1000 like yours and that was his problem.

by the way, doesn't 4WS stand for 4 wheel steering?

haha I've always wanted to find an old 4ws accod and have it just for fun! But hey, I'm having plenty of fun with my 96 lx right now.

Yeah, ebay or a junkyard is your best bet. Replacement on a scale of 1 to 10 is probably a 1.5.
It's held on by two bolts on the back of the intake manifold (looks like a little black cylinder attached to a little metal block). Just undo those 2 bolts that hold it to the manifold and the electric connector and it's out! Try to get a new "O" ring with the new part, but if you can't get one, make sure you're careful with your old one.
