well the d4 light was out so i swapped it with the 1 light and then i put it all back together and it wont flash.. ?? my step bro said the torque converter is dead???? so i got a whole trans for $20 off craigslist.. only cuz it came with a starter and tc and all switches and stuff, i swapped the solenoids and still does it..... i checked the fluid and it seems to be over full would that cause it?? i havent dropped the pan to check for metal or anything yet.. cuz i wanted to get codes but i cant get it to flash anything

Does the D4 light turn on for 2 seconds when the key is initially turned to the II position?

Does the D4 light stay turned on steady whenever the ignition is turned on?

the d4 light flashes for a split second at initial turn but thats it, but the check engine light stays solid while its running... with the connector shorted

That is what should happen.

Sounds like there are no codes stored on the ECU or TCU.

Maybe you need to adjust the shifter cable that goes to the transmission.

You can download a 91 shop manual from the online manuals link in the diy section that will give you the procedure.

is that the cable that goes from the tb to the trans?? i forgot to mention today i found one of the sensors broken completely off... so i replaced it with the one from my other trans today, it was the small cylinder type sensor on the front bottom.. it didnt help though.. and while doing that i noticed the trans mount bolts were not at torque spec.. so i also torqued it down.. i do have a chilton for it but ill get the online manual too thanks!! will post back if it fixes the problem or not... thanks for your help!!

hey guys the cable at the shift lever is perfect alignment, i think someone has changed the transmission the way everything is loose and some broken things on it, maybe they didnt tighten it right at the trans? but i can not find the cable at the trans?? even looked at the other trans to check where it would be and couldnt find anything lol.. any tips help thanks guys!!

well maybe the whole trans is dead?? so im gunna take it to the local tech school and they fix it for free if i bring the parts lol... and they can test the other transmission i have for free too! so maybe this is what ill do..

hey guys, this is a def long shot question, this accord has adjustable coils, wondering if they will fit my 94 civic, i doubt it but i figured id ask the pros, i think the back was too wide but i read that about different years tho... and since i have decent rims and stuff on my civic why not lol
