hello i need some help i drive a 98 a accord with a f23a1 engine , it has 150k on it and since i bought it with 109k on it, its not leaking it on my driveway or anything so im not sure if its burning it . im not sure if these engine are known for using oil or not . well all the help i can get would be great

 

How much oil are you losing? How long has this been happening?

 

i need to put 1 qt a week , its been like that for almost 6 months i repalced the valve steams and the piston rings, but the car runs great and i only get the smoke after i rev my car at 6000

 

I think that we need some more information about what you have done to the car so far.

You must have pulled the head to do the work. Did you take the head to a machine shop to get the work done? Was the smoking/oil loss happening before you replaced the rings and valve stem seals?

Give us the whole story about the work done on your car.

 

PAHonda i have dah this problem for the last 6 months, so i took my car to my mechanic and i replaced the rings(bought them from oreylli auto parts) and replaced the valve steams (bought them at Honda dealer store) and my mechanic sent the head to the machine shop. the thing is that i'm still smoking oil and i'm running out of option the car runs great and everything i just dont wanna be putting 1 qt of oil every week any suggestions? thank you
