Default Help door wont open :(

Hello, I have a 2006 (or is it 2007 not 100% sure) Honda Accord 2door that won't open up. I have my keys and the buttons respond, but the door won't open. I cannot open the door with my keys because the left side door has been replaced, and the keys I have work with the ignition, but not the door. I know I should call some sort of service to have it opened, but I am really broke right now and cannot afford it. The trunk does not have a key hole, nor does the passenger side door. Is there any way that I can open the door myself?

Please help guys!

Can't you use keys to open RH door, then reach across and open LH door from inside by lifting manual lock release?

good luck

@TexasHonda, no unfortunately my right hand door does not have a keyhole on it. Only the left one does, and as I mentioned the keys I have only work on the ignition and not on the door. Are there any tools that I can purchase to open the door? My friend recommended this from O'Riellys, but I have no idea how to use it. It's around 6 dollars.

Performance Tool W1147C - Car Door Lockout Tool | O'Reilly Auto Parts

Are there any guides out there? And would this be the only tool I would need to purchase? I'm sorry I am terrible with cars, and just really can't afford to spend a lot just to get my door opened.

Sorry, I didn't realize coupes only had a LH key lock.

I know it may be painful, but in the long run it may be cheaper to get help, particularly if you need your car to get to work.

Suggest checking w/ local locksmiths for best price.

I would be very surprised if that tool will work, but don't know for sure.

good luck

what do you mean that the buttons respond?

If you hold the lower right button, that should allow the trunk to open up.

My car keys only have a lock/unlock and Panic button on them. No unlock trunk button. And when I mean they respond, if I double tap the lock button, the car will give off a sound to confirm it locks. If I press the panic button, the alarm goes off. If I tap unlock, all that happens is the red button blinks, but door doesn't unlock.

Sigh I just gave in and got it opened by a locksmith, 50 dollars bye bye

Thanks anyways for the help guys. I appreciate.

Sorry about that. You will need to figure out why the remote was not working properly.

I think a locksmith should be able to change the door lock to match your key. If not, you may want to get a key made for the driver's door lock. I am not sure how you would find out the VIN of the donor car.

press the unlock button once and then again within 2 seconds and HOLD it down, the windows should roll down. if not, you'll need to bust out a window or call a locksmith.

Thanks for the cool trick bro, but the windows only seem to open when the car is unlocked.
