Hi all. I just bought this car from a guy it has a lil over 102k on it and its a 5 speed. Whenever I accelerate and feels like the engine is "lagging/hesitating". What could be causeing this? It's starting to worry me cause I can't afford an expensive repair right now. Any advice on what could be causing this problem? Thanks for any help!

As for you problem, are the maintenance items up to date (distributor cap, rotor, spark plugs, air filter?)

Does the check engine light turn on while driving?
