Hello , I have a 95 Honda Accord that the automatic trans went out on . I purchased one from a junk yard and the case has a wear spot that I believe will leak when I install . My warranty ran out before I could get it installed I did not find the spot until yest. My question is ...is the case aluminium ?

 

I'm pretty sure it's aluminum. I had excellent results fixing a cracked transmission case with JB Weld.

 

Thanks Roader ... I believe it is also . It's on the corner of the case and the size of a qrt . It was a concave place , I went ahead and cut it out while it was out . I was careful to make sure and get all pieces and filings . So now to find a good machine shop to patch it (tig) thanks for your suggestion.
