Default Help! Shut off issues!

I drive a 2002 accord coupe 2.3L and sometimes when im driving the car seems to shut down. My radio turns off, my lights flicker and the dash goes off. But it restarts itself not even a second later. Radio comes back on, lights go back to normal but the dash lights go on as if i just started the car. There is no loss of power. If im accelarating it will keep accelarating. Im just curious as to what it is. I heard it can maybe be the ignition switch? Maybe just the baterie? Might be caused by my HIDs takin too much juice from the baterie? Im just not sure.
Any help would be very apreciated. Thanks guys!

It certainly could be the ignition switch assy. Honda has had failures of this component for years, and it's fairly common.

First clean/reconnect battery posts to be sure they are secure. Have battery tested at Autozone, or other parts store.

If problem is not resolved w/ battery inspections, intermittents are difficult to resolve, and it may be more cost-effective to simply replace the ignition switch assy. Sometimes wiggling the switch or turning slowly can simulate the problem and confirm the switch as the problem.

good luck
