Default High Idle after valve cover replacement

I have a 95 accord ex. I just replaced the valve cover gasket and now it is idling at 1700-2500 and sticking higher for a minute if I rev it up. I am guessing it is the IAC valve. How do I trouble shoot it? Anything else that may have failed or cloged when I did the valve cover gasket?

I'm guessing vacuum leak (probably a hose).

Tried putting in a new PCV, didn't do anything. Then I noticed that while I clipped the cruise control cable back in place, part of it was looped over something. D'oh! Straightened it out and the problem was solved.

This car has about 400K on it. It just keeps going, just oil changes and a few parts here and there. I am up to about $80 in parts in about a year. I have had it since 2006. Driven it cross country 5 times. it got T boned by a moose at 65mph. Has done enough off road driving to kill a ford pickup.

Awesome car. It's like the coop cousin of the Toyota Hylux Top gear tried to kill.

Glad you got it figured out....my first thought was the PCV or the hose to it but you were well ahead of me on that one

I'm not sure what it is but the older ones just seem to keep kicking it
