Default Need 96 Accord HELP!

The black/yellow wires go together, the blue on the connector with the black/yellow connects to the blue wire on the car harness. From the large connector the yellow/green goes to the same, and the shielded pair mates with the other two. black to the orange, white to the yellow/ shielded purple. The other wires are not used because the sensors are duplicates of the crank sensors.
Have a 4-2.2L F/inj. (16V) SOHC F22B1 V-Tec 1996 Accord EX with the Hitachi Distributor. Need to replace the coil. Have the new coil. As dumb as I feel asking this; how does the old one "slide" out? First time for me not doing the spring type. If you have a pic. or can help it would be so much appreciated. Thank you, Joe

The "non-spring" type. Sorry first post had a typo.

Remove the cap, then the 2 screws on the coil end, and it should come out. You might need a wrench to hold the nuts (if equipped) to get the screws out.
Note, I'm working with a TEC distributor on my 97 16 valve engine (non V-tec), but I think the housings are the same (just what's inside are different from what I can tell from the FSM).

For the internal coil, there are two screws holding the coil, then two (?) screws holding wires to the coil.

That was the point I was trying to make to Joe. The coil is held inside the distributor by 2 screws to the distributor body.
Yes Joe, I do know the Hitachi and TEC coils are different, both in location and in mounting.

OK. I will look for screws again? Wires slide onto "sled type" posts on my existing original coil. Appreciate your time. The "spring" type coil was a piece of cake to change compared to this. :0(

Although not a mechanic this is the first time in a long while I have had such a problem.
Getting old I guess?
