Honda Accord 2004 2.4 4 cylinder Check engine light on
Hi guys,
On my dashboard I have check engine light on.
I connect car computer reader and get following error codes:
P0122 throttle/pedal position sensor/switch A Low input
P0341 camshaft position sensor circuit range/performance
Freeze frame was on
Freeze frame - Indicates that "Freeze Frame" data has been stored in the vehicle's computer for the currently displayed DTC
Sometimes check engine light disappear, but not for a long time, fuel economy is the same like before, when check engine light is on engine speed on idle are low 500-600 r/min sometimes like normal 800-900 r/min
Maybe somebody know what is the cause and how to fix it.
I'm just scared go to the dealer, because they can charge me for couple thousands (
Many thanks

The cam position sensor code would be the item that concerns me the most.
The problem could be just the cam sensor.
Another cause for that code is when the timing chain is stretched where the hydraulic tensioner is at its limit to keep the chain tight. I have read about this on the TSX forums that have basically the same engine as your accord. This is something I would get checked out asap, because once the timing chains skips, the engine can get damaged. That would likely be a very large repair bill.
