Engine idles rough, sputters and idles at sometimes 4000 RPM.
Takes forever to start.
Engine and/or axle knocks, could be the culprit of why the idle is offset. might need motor mount, can't tell where they are located. Would probably solve everything.

Is your car a fuel injected vehicle or does it have a carburetor?

Also, does the check engine light turn on while driving? Also the does the D4 or S light flash if you have an auto transmission?

 

well, i can't tell if it is or not. i thought it was a throttle body. no engine light comes on and its a 5spd
