Horn(s) fuse problem
Here is how it happenned, (1997 SE with cruise and SRS):
-Security Alarm got activated
-Horn kept blowing for some time
-Suddenly horn fuse blew off
-Disabled alarm, replaced fuse-> fuse blows when horn is pressed
I noticed that in the above situation, only the Low Horn was connected and (as a pre-existing condition, I don't know why) High Horn was hanging loose and was not physically connected.
I couldn't test the Low Horn, but the High Horntestedgood.
So here is what I tried:
-Disconnect the High Horn (took off the ground)
-Connect the Low Horn
-Low horn blows when I press the button. Good!
-After I press the button fewsuccessive times (say 10 times), sameproblem occurs. ie horn wouldn' work, Fuse blows offevery time I press the horn button.
What could be wrong?

RE: Horn(s) fuse problem
it could be a short in the horn. I've had this problem when I blew out an air horn compressor. Test the resistance on the horns and if one is way too low, change it.

RE: Horn(s) fuse problem
Thanks again falkore24!! ...... (not 23! ).
The low horn had a short. It took a couple of seconds ofpressing of the switchbefore the fuse would blow. Besides, what I thought to be the low horn originally was actually the chirping alarm horn. (The actual low horm was always connected). That explains the symptomsdescribed in the original post.
