Default Accord 98: Horn and fuse problem

Recently my Accord horn stopped working, so I changed the relay - after that I honked, and I heard a faint beep. Later I parked, I couldnt change the gear shift (because the fuse blew up). I tried changing the relay again- and I had the same problem.

Any idea what is going wrong?

Thanks

you have a short somewhere causing the fuse to blow. most likely it's the horn. if you put a new fuse in and it's still ok, then you beep the horn and it blows the fuse - replace the horn(or both if equipped with both). if you can inspect the wiring before hand to make sure it's ok and not damaged.

x2 ...... on replacing the horn(s). I had the same problem .... turns out that my airhorn compressor was blown. Replaced it and it's as good as new. It's a bit simpler diagnostic on my car though since I have a secondary relay and a fused power line straight from the battery (so the airhorns can't hurt anything by drawing more power than the stock horns).

unplug the wires going to the horns , push the horn button in,, if fuse does not blow , most likely it is a shorted horn,,

If fuse still blows , there is a short on ther horn wire ( blue/red) ,,
