Default How do I tell if a gasket needs to be replaced?

When I took off the valve cover I realized that the valve cover gasket as well as all of the spark plug well seals appeared to be intact. All are in one piece, there is no cracking and they're all somewhat flexible.

Does this mean they're fine? Really not interested in wasting money to replace them if they're fine.

you should be fine. But you might want to get some sealer (honda bond works the best)and seal the gasket back in its tracks(just a few beads hear and there will do the trick) to make sure it stays in its proper pace. Also try not to over tighten the VC it's 8.7 ft lbs to tq. her on down
