Default I have a 96 accord non vetch I4

Only one fan works passanger side only. Car over heats when it's warm out. Example ( if I'm driving on the highway for 30 mins. I get off. And I get stuck in traffic. It over heats. I have to turn the ac on to cool it down but also that one fan does come on when I'm just driving around town. I changed the radiator upper and lower hose thermostat and ac switch. I'm not losing any coolant the same level at all times. Also. The gage seems to me like it's running too cool Becuz. It's not. At the half mark it runs quarter under that. Car has 145k on it Any ideas.

Both fans should turn on when the engine temperature reaches a certain temperature (can't remember the temp, but it is around 200F). Both fans should turn on when the engine is running and you turn on the a/c.

You can unplug the non-working fan and use a volt meter to verify you get 12V to the connector when you have the car running and a/c turned on.

How did you connect the volt meter to the fan connector? Did you put one pin in each lead? Or did you use a metal bolt for ground?

When you reconnect the fan, did the fan start working?

Try the caveman test. Make sure everything is plugged in. Start the engine and turn on a/c. Take the handle of a screwdriver and tap the motor with light/medium force. Will the fan turn on?

The other test you can try is to swap the relays that are bolted to the driver's side fan housing. One relay runs the fan and the other runs the a/c compressor. If you switch them, and the compressor stops running and the fan does run, then the relay is at fault.
