Default Idle Problem, but different from other post

My problem is when i start my car it idles at around 2100 RPM when its cold, and i kno this isnt normal, and when running and i put in drive and drive it for like 5 minutes or more, then i put it either in Neutral or Park, the idle will go up and down up and down...I dont kno what this could be, if anyone could help me it would be appreciated...btw i already replaced the Idle Air Control Valve, and this did not solve the problem, thanks....

Replace or repair (might be a temporary fix though) the Fast Idle Thermo Valve. Its on the bottom of the throttle body housing. That is the valve that causes the idle to oscillate.

Here are a good set of instructions. https://www.hondaaccordforum.com/m_95855/tm.htm

EDIT: I WOULD NOT DO STEP 6 WITH THE LIGHTER!

Maybe Deserthonda or another moderator might want to make this a DIY fix or a sticky in the general tech help forum.

the first thing you should do is try to figure out WHAT YEAR the car is.
There might be a sticker under the hood to help you find out the year of the car

I know it should have been included but based on his name i'll bet it's a 4th gen 88. So please update your signature 4thgenaccord88 please.

the fast idle valve, if slightly open, will cause a bouncing idle. so will any vacuum leak. so will low coolant.

do you see/hear and vacuum leaks?
is the coolant level ok?(open the cold radiator and look inside)
can you feel vacuum on both throttle body ports when the engine is fully warmed up? vacuum on both ports is bad.
