Red face idle & transmission

I have a 98 honda accord v6 160k. My problem is the idle that revs upto 6000 rpm and when it warms up it steadily idles up & down to 1000 to 3000 rpm and when i put it in gear it runs for about a minute then it stops completly then it idles up & down even faster. I have tried removing & cleaning the carb & IAVC. Could it be i have a bad tranny?

Tranny doesn't control the idle.

Look in the DIY section for a post by ME about setting the BASE idle.
