Hey guys, while fixing my 99 Accord, I somehow managed to loose my only key? I'm gonna get a new ignition. Since the key is chipped, will I have to do anything special other than to replace it? Or will I have to code it to the computer?

 

It will have to be programmed to the computer. There is a procedure for you to push the brake pedal to allow you to drive the car to a dealership. You would need to call a dealership for the procedure.

A locksmith may be an alternative, but call before to find out if they can program the chip.
