Default Im thinking it steering...

Ok so many of yall know that ive had problems getting the ride to start... well that isnt the problem anymore. i fianally got it going and the battery somewhat charged along with the alternator. but now that it runs and is able to move, i have a wierd whining noise coming from the steering area. i know my brakes are shot but i also know that isnt where the noise is coming from. it is either the power steering or somewhere in the steering assembly. the funny thing is that it only happens whenever i am taking a left turn. my ps belt is brand new, along with the rest of the belts except the timing belt.

so my question to you all is what would cause my steering to whine? it sounds like rubber being mashed and dragged along a piece of glass. it isnt a terrible noise but i dont know the damages that it has to it.

im wondering if i should bleed out my power steering and refill it or what. any ideas are appreciated.

You can try changing out the PS fluid. Replace with PS fluid from the Honda dealership.

You could also adjust the PS belt tension.

I remember your other long post when you first started. You should post your solution at the end of that thread to help out other people in the same situation as you were.

i do not think that changing the fluid will solve your problem,, chk belt for proper tension, make sure reservoir has plenty of p/s fluid, also chk for a possible leak,, ( system sucking air " p/s pump hoses o-rings" )
