Import Direct 2005 Water pump would not fit

Import Direct 2005 Water pump would not fit
I have a Honda Accord 2005. I replaced the water pump.
but there were problems
An Import Direct water pump from Oreilly's would not work, but Car Quest brand water pump did work.
When it did not go on the first time I took it back to Oreilly's and got another one, when it did not fit the second time, I went to another car parts store and bought a pump that did fit..
Are there known problems with Import Direct products or is this just some screw up in the computer that gave me the wrong part number.
The parts are extremely close. Only 1 bolt would not go in and it looked like the hole for the bolt was half visible. So maybe 1 hole was off by an 1/8 of an inch.
The Car Quest part cost me 20 bucks more but it did work.
