Hi, that's the same as the 2008-2012 Accords (see image) and doesn't require drilling. 2013-2015 Accords had a change that does require holes in the bumper cover.

There is no need to drill the bumper. There is a mounting kit with clips, etc. that the dealer should have supplied.

Let me know what year and I will post the info.
Hi, I have a 2001 Honda Accord and I have to mount a plate to the front. I ordered a kit online but just can't figure it out! I'd greatly appreciate if you would be able to share some info for a 2001! I can share pics of the kit I purchased if that would help.

For the earlier year Accords, I do not find any of the service bulletins showing the license plate holder installation. For later years Hondas, the instructions are part of service bulletins related to PDI (pre-delivery inspection). Based on the parts diagrams on Honda parts sites, the installation of the OEM one should be relatively similar to this illustration (at least for the holder to the bumper). You can post photos of the kit you purchased so that we can take a look.

Thank you so much for responding and being so willing to help. I ended up taking another look after work today and with the help of that diagram you sent, got it to work! Thanks again

If this is the kit you have, here is a video. I'd have the drill bit set to shallow so you don't hit anything behind the plastic bumper.

Was wondering if I can install it without drilling holes. Thanks for sharing this link.
