Instrument Panel Gauges Not Working, 1999 Accord
I have a 1999 Accord EX-V6 with about 186,000 miles. Recently, all the gauges just stopped functioning (speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, temp). First thought it was a fuse issue. I searched in this forum, and saw similar issues that suggested the number nine fuse in the driver's side underdash fusebox. But, checked that, and it was working fine. I even replaced that fuse just to be sure. I also checked every circuit, and all seems to be functioning normally. Just cannot figure out what would have caused the gauges to just stop working all of a sudden. I have not driven the car very often since last summer, and had to jump start it after a cold snap early in January. Had the battery tested, and it is fine, though I don't know if something else besides the cold caused it to drain. And I don't know if the problems are connected. Any suggestions on what is causing this, and how to resolve it?
Which lights (if any) are working on the cluster?
You will have to use a volt meter to figure out if you are missing power or ground to the cluster. Start at the #9 fuse and see if both posts on the fuse are getting power.
See this video on how to test with the fuse in place. A test light or a volt meter will work for this test.

The check engine light has actually been on for the past several days. I had it checked at a local parts store, and they came up with a code of P1705, a transmission sensor problem. This just started a few days ago, over a week after the gauges stopped working. I don't know if all these issues are related.
