Just bought honda, wont pass Echeck!
hey guys new to forum. So i just bought a 95 honda accord Vtec 2.2L auto. 107,000miles. Love the car, one owner car very clean. But my problem is the other day i went to get plates, had to get it e-checked. Went there and failed the NO (Nitrogen/Oxygen) portion by a lot. Limit is 945ppm im at 2009ppm.
Bummed out a lil, i did some research and THOUGHT i found the problem. I took off my egr valve it was super carboned up. Bought a new one. Car ran better( used to have barley noticeable stutter between 1500-2000rpm, i thought it was just the vtec kicking in lol) anyway took it down again. Ran the **** out of it on the way there and i failed by 2204ppm the second time around .
So now im really confused??? hoping someone has some jedi honda knowledge to bestow on me, so i can get this baby to pass....
all help greatly appreciated

Normal stuff, you just got the car. So you have no idea what has been replaced when, unless you got records. Then, replacing the valve......look into cleaning the EGR posts (DIY section).
Any stored codes?

By stored codes I mean something that might have come on in the past. Look in the DIY section for how to check for codes....by doing this you might find out why the ABS is on....
Then check this out for a how to on the EGR port cleaning.

Active link only because it is within the same forum...one of the rules I had to learn.
