Default just clicks when trying to start

Hey guys,

i really need help with my CB7. its a 91 EX-R. This problem started last week. When i try to start my car all it does is a clicking sound, doesnt crank nothing. After maybe 10 seconds of clicking i smelled a burning, smelled electrical. Then, my trottle cable messed up on me, it completely seized. So i bought a new throttle cable and the car started fine, but the very next day it did it again, brand new throttle cable. When it lcicks when i start and i touch the throttle cable its incredibly hot. Now th throttle cbale isnt the cause of the problem, but whatever keeps ruining my throttle cable. Whats causing my car not to start and just click like this. need help! thanks

Check to see if there is something grounding out on the throttle cable.

but what wouldnt be properly grounded to send the current through my throttle cable? cause i did the bg 3 upgrade, meaning i have 0 gauge wire coming from alternator to battery +, battery - to chassis, and battery - to tranny.

Check to see if the zero gauge or any other wire is touching the throttle cable. If a power wire is touching the throttle cable it will cause a ground.

is there a ground for the throttle body?

i was thinking more main relay, but it doesnt explain why my throttle cable seizes.

Climb under the car and make sure everything is tight and not touching. Maybe something came loose recently.

Also check your starter cables to make sure they are good.

so i checked my starter ground, i noticed there waws lots of rust so i went to unbolt it to sand it down and get a better contact, and the damn bolt just broke off. so now im stuck with one half of the screw in the hole, and no ground wire being held. im just gonna try buying a new starter
