I have an 01 exl. I am having issues with both of my key fobs. I have to be within like 20 feet of the car for it to work. Anything farther and I can't get them to work. Has anyone else had this issue? Asn't way to fix it?

 

How long since you've changed the batteries on the fobs?

 

Not sure about your model but I know on my '09 I took the key (the key is the fob) apart. Inside on the battery they had some of that electric grease for moisture. I wiped down the battery, put the fob back together and picked up double the distance that it now will work. Heard of other people getting the same results also...

 

They were replaced ab 5 months ago. I'll wipe them down and see if that helps
