Default Keyless Entry Beep/honk

I have noticed that all the cars I have been into, when the remote is pressed lock, the car makes a beep noise, or the horn yanks...letting the owner know that the car is properly lock. I have a 2005 Honda Accord Coupe Ex, and when I programmed the key, I can unlock, lock, and trunk, but the lock or unlock does not have a beep or horn yanking sound....

Is that how Honda built it? or is there any configuration to enable the beep sound...?....Also, how do I know if the security system is enabled...? Thanks

Pete

Press it twice in a row and kinda have to do it fast, and itll honk...

but if you do it once and it locks then the security system is enabled in 15 seconds.

Great, now it honks after I hit the lock twice...

For some reason, now that it honks, it gets me excited but is there a way to make it stop honking even when it is pressed twice.. lol...Maybe some programing??

evilash05 mentioned that if I press lock once, then the security system is enabled in 15 seconds, so will it still be enabled if I pressed it twice? Also, I tend to spend a lot of time in my car before my classes and like playing around with the car, ie...the buttons, hood....etc... Will the alarm go off if I messed with those stuff...also...is there a way to disable the alarm...

Thanks guys!

you can press it a hundred times or just once, and it will still activiate the alarm, just dont lock it and the alarm wont activate.

Ive had it go off with me sitting in it before, just press unlock or put the key in and it wont go off.
