Question leaves blowing out of air vents

I have noticed that over the past few weeks that sometimes when I turn on the air conditioning in my car (1996 accord coupe lx at) that bits of leaves or other particles will blow out of the vents. this only happens for about the first 3 seconds that the car it on, after that no problems. anyone ever heard of this before?

There is no air filter for the vents, so small leaves can get pulled into the vents. I had a lot of maple tree helicopters trapped in my evaporator when I repaired my a/c.

I would suggest that you vacuum any leaves on and under the cowl.

If that doesn't fix the problem, then you would have to discharge the a/c, remove/take apart/clean the evaporator box, reassemble, then recharge the a/c. I wouldn't do this, unless I had a/c problems to fix or there was enough leaves in there to clog the a/c drain.

Angelo,

Thanks for agreeing with my advice.

I'm doing good right now.
