Doing more research is it possible that an aftermarket relay will not work properly? I've seen where Honda's and Nissan's are finicky like that.

No a relay is a relay. I'm leaning towards the MUC. Everything else is checking out unless there is a break in the wire. I'm trying to find the muc layout to verify some things

thank you. Electrical is foreign territory to me. I did find out from the previous owner that the left side blinkers were was acting up on them as well.

The 03 is wired completely different. The MICU is controlling the turn signal/hazard relay.

Troubleshooting properly would require some basic electrical testing on the pins of the fuse box, where you remove the relay and test for power or ground with a test light or volt meter. The tests are simple if you are good with using a volt meter.

I will give that a shot and follow up with my findings

Update: I applied a jumper from pin 2 to pin 6 and the left blinker lights came on and stayed solid. Am I to assume I have a bad relay? Seems the wiring is intact and working properly.

What happens when you jump pin 6 to pin 3? Do the right lights turn on?

Pin 4 should have 10V with the key in the II position and the turn signal lever set to turn left.
Pin 5 will have 10V with the key in the II position and turn signal set to right blinkers.

I didn't think to do that side since the right signal turns on normally
