Little square box above back window

I notice some accords and a lot of sedans and SUV's have those little square boxes above the back window. Is this the radio antannae?

Hi New Member..That on one of my cars is for my On_Star System...is also an antenna..

If you are talking about the painted box with the small raised area on the new Accords... that is an XM Radio antenna. On GM products the black square box to which you are referring is, as WBA said... for the On_Star System...
