Default Loose Bulging Trim on 15 Sport

I have a brand new 15 Sport. Bought it about three weeks ago. I just noticed this morning that there's a slight "bulging" of the trim on the drivers side door window. I tried to mess with it a little thinking it might just "pop" back I place but it will not. Seems to perhaps be coming unglued. Anyone seen this before?

Here's a pic..... It's happening on the passenger side too but not as severe yet.

Surely covered under warranty, going back to the dealership, right?

Oh yes. Just wondering if it's a common problem.

I have a 15 Sport myself... the issue is news to me, not seen it as a common problem described by other owners

Good luck, I feel confident that the dealer will make it right

Took it in and had the service techs look at it Monday morning. They ordered two new trim pieces (right and left) and will call to schedule an appointment when they come in. The tech said those are essentially "taped" down with 3M double stick tape. Something to keep an eye on for other Accord owners. I have no idea why both of mine came loose. Defective adhesive perhaps?

Thanks for keeping us updated

At this point, it would be anyone's guess as to what happened.... perhaps dust, maybe training a new guy... ?? Since parts such as these are usually manufactured by an outside contractor, it is likely not Honda's fault, although now Honda will be notified that there was a problem

Bottom line is that the dealer is going to resolve the issue

Happy for you

Stuff happens

Heck I got a 2016 that has - gets to have - the front bumper re-painted because of a defect in the paint....and I didn't even get 3K miles on it . Pretty much going to put it off and when I go to get the first oil change done (free ), I'll let them keep it and re-paint the bumper.

Just want to report an update on this issue:

I went in and had the left and right trim pieces replaced yesterday under warranty. The repair took an hour and it's good as new again. FYI, the service manager told me there's a bulletin out from Honda on this issue now.

Thanks for the head's-up

I'll keep an eye on this for my car
