Default MADD MAXX All Pro Switch (in glove box) What is it?

I had recently purchased a 1988 Honda Accord LXi and found a switch in the glove box. It has Madd Maxx All Pro inscribed on it and has a switch for "on and off" and it's own reset button.

I figured I'd find faster answers here on this forum. I'm not too informed about a vehicle's high performance parts and accessories if that's what this Madd Maxx switch is for, then any answer would help. I was told that it had something to do with the exhaust and tried searching for it through the web but I couldn't find anything.

So, what is this Madd Maxx All Pro switch? Is it worth keeping in my car? I have no intentions of making my Accord "street racer worthy" but it seems like the previous owner had those same intentions.

I'm sure more posts will be made, I've got a lot of questions. But first I'll browse around a bit and see if I can find other posts involving similar problems.

Thanks!

I have no idea what it is for. It is likely some kind of kill switch.

Can you trace the wires that lead in and out of the switch and tell us where it goes?

Yeah, it's a kill switch. I "tested" it before turning on the car. I turned it on and tried to start the car but it wouldn't crank. I turned it off and tried again, the car started.

I hardly ever use it and wonder how easy it would be to take it out. If it's easier to leave it in, then I guess I can do that too.

Thanks!

Depends on how it is wired. Personally I'd just leave it alone. However if you ever have starting problems, need to include it/that in the testing procedures.
