Question Mechanical problem ASE techs can't figure out!

I have a 94 accord with a Manual transmission and 2.2 liter V-Tech engine. The car has 211,000 on it but ran great until the other day.
The problem symptoms: When I accellerate, or shift through the gears to increase speed, everything is okay. When I slow or downshift to stop, everything is fine. When I maintain any speed or keep constant pressure on the gas pedal, the car shakes me like I am on a restless horse. No MIL present. Like I said, it only does it when I am maintaining a speed. Any speed. I have replaced (without success) the EGR valve and Fuel Pressure Regulator at the advice from 3 different ASE mechanics. Can anyone help me??? I am pulling my hair out over this...

Thanks!

Maybe try cleaning out the EGR ports? Pretty simple DIY.

HondaDude posted some instructions.

You are describing a symptom that happens at manifold or more likely ported vacuum at wide open throttle there is no vacuum or very little. The EGR runs off of ported vacuum. I would start there also and also look for vacuum leaks and vacuum devices that use ported vacuum.

Default Relpy to help

The car shakes at any speed. Extremely bad in 2nd gear, well, any gear when I am between 2000 and 3000 rpm. It seems to stop when you increase over 3000 rpm. The whole car shakes noticibly. You can visably see the car shake. As for the EGR port cleaning, I have already done this... Thanks!

i am assuming they already checked all the basic stuff..tires, suspension parts, plugs wires etc.. etc..

have them chk the inner cv joints for lack of grease,, have them remove the big boot band and stuff some cv grease in the inner joints, give that a test drive afterward....bad axles ??
