A "genuine Honda oil filter"? I didn't know Honda made oil filters; last I heard their filters were made by Honeywell/FRAM (to Honda's specifications of course).

I didn't state Honda made the filter. They are genuine Honda parts, not phony China parts, etc... Honda don't make most parts.

They don't come in individual boxes, just plastic wrap and the Honda part number sticker.

15400-PLM-A01 are made by Filtec and 15400-PLM-A02 are made by Fram/Honeywell.

I get the 15400-PLM-A01 (as shown in my previously attached pic.) made by Filtec.

I'm a fan of Purolator Pure-One, but the Bosch is good too. I used Honda filters for awhile back when I could get the ones made by Filtech.

I used Fram for 20 years without any problem, before I read about the cardboard end-caps. I quit using Fram, but still I've used A LOT of them without any failure. That was on 72, 74, 86, etc cars with shorter oilchange intervals.

... redbull posted while i was typing. I had thought the filtech ones were gonna become unavailabe. I guess not?

I get the Filtech filters (15400-PLM-A01) at HandA Accessories, that is what they mainly stock, as they know many people search for it. They are an hour and half away from me, so when I have business up there, I do will-call and pick up there.

Here's their picture of the A01 cut opened:
