forindooruseonly, you should start your own thread, so it is not as confusing.

In both cases, you should use a volt meter on the bulb socket to figure out if you have voltage or ground.

The non-black wire should get 12V when you hit the brake pedal to body ground (use a known good ground like any bare metal bolt you can find). If you have voltage, check for ~zero resistance from the black wire to that ground that you used before.

BUMP

i have the same issue....I have a Honda Accord EX 1994'. The tail lights dont work. However the Reverse light and blinkers work. How much would it usually be to fix thhis in a shop?
