You need to download a 94-97 Honda Manual from hondahookup.com for help on this issue. I removed this part to remove my intake manifold during a head gasket replacement. I don't remember having any problems. You should replace the large oring seal to the transfer pipe your damaged part connects into. You will need to remove intake duct for access. Take your time and keep up w/ parts and you'll be fine.

good luck

You mean the thermostat case (#8) is cracked?
It bolts to the back side of the engine, and you can see how the water pipe goes into the case. Have new gaskets, including a new O-ring (#26) for that tube.

Okay I don't want to confuse anyone but if it's #8 that's broken you just need to purchase a new one and replacement is fairly simple, if it's #6 which is the actual housing that covers the thermostat (not the piece that the thermostat sits in) then that's a simple straight forward repair, if you've got a bolt in there then I would assume that the threading and such on #8 where the bolt goes into is fine and it's the external thermostat housing that's busted...Am I backwards?

Ok, if the threaded hole in #8 is broken (and not the bolt), buy #8, two #12, #25 and #26 from a dealer or website like hondapartsdeals.com.

Unscrew the two bolts (#32) that hold that #8 to the engine. Twist #8 off of the water pipe #11. Installation is the reverse of that order.
