My brake lamp light went on and i checked my brake lights and they work fine but my tail lights wont turn on, any suggestions/comments?

 

Check the bulbs. Yeah, I know you said they work, but take out the bulbs & look for dirty contacts, bulbs in their sockets backwards, stuff like that. That warning light is based on proper wattage in all positions, so it's possible something is getting flaky. Bulbs often operate at the wrong wattage for days before actually burning out.
