Default need help please

Hello everyone, I am new here and need help with this issue.
I have an 03 Accord EX 4L. To make a long story short, I was stupid enough to remove the TPS plug while the engine was running then I clicked it in back immediately. I went into the car and I couldn't get it out of park, turn it on and off no help unless I use the key to unlock the sifter. I thought it s because I messed around with the TPS and sure enough if I pull the TPS out I can get it out of park. Also the transmission started to act funny. I thought maybe the throttle position sensor went bad and sending wrong feedback to the transmission so I got a multimeter and checked the TPS and I am getting 0.51 at idle and 4.5 at full open throttle which is in the normal range I think. The CEL only turns on when the TSP is unplugged and it turns off when I disconnect and reconnect the battery. The car still idle fine, but I can tell that the transmission is not getting the right signal from the throttle.
I also tried the re-learn procedure with no help.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
I had no problems with the car before this and it was running and shifting smoothly

how long are you leaving the battery disconnected? is a door open to allow the dome light to drain any stored energy?

inspect the connector, maybe a pin got damaged or pulled out when you were messing with it.

Connector is fine. How long should I keep the battery disconnected?
