Need to replace sub frame for 2002 Accord
So I have a bent sub frame in my 2002 and am looking for a new part to replace it.
Except all of the sources that I'm looking at call the parts different things. Like, I've seen the phrase "front cross member" thrown around a bit. Are these the same thing? I found a guy who can do the actual repair if I get the part and I don't want to purchase the wrong thing, but none of the part names that I've found are that cut and dry. Can anyone tell me what I'm looking for exactly?

The front subframe principally consist of a front beam and a rear beam.
They are not the same thing as a front lower crossmember, which is part of the front bulkhead (which also is not the subframe). However, typically, part of the front bulkhead does also get damaged in a collision, etc.

I don't know if those are different for 2-door vs. 4-door. Automatic vs. Manual. V6 vs 4-cyl... etc.
Go to an online parts place like Majestic.
www(dot)hondaautomotiveparts(dot)com
Put in all your car's information.
Select "Body/Air Conditioning"
Select "Rear Beam / Cross Beam"
With the actual Honda part numbers, you don't care what name they use.
(for some reason Honda puts front & rear together on the same drawing, & they use the term "cross beam" for the corresponding frame at the rear suspension)
