alright well now the car wont even start, i have both spark and fuel

sometimes you turn the key to start it, the dash lights come on, the fuel pump comes on, but it will do nothing, not even crank

other times, it will crank and try to turn over (makes a "put put" sound) but still wont start.

with all my other guage issues and electrical issues, could this be possibly a faulty ignition switch? i read that they can mess up electrical systems in cars and etc.

so it has good fuel pressure, good spark, timing belt isnt broken

when you turn it over the car tries to start (makes a "put put put" noise) and sometimes even backfires

the spark looked good, how can you tell a good spark from a weak spark?

what else would keep it from starting? im stumped

Take the air-intake duct off the throttlebody. Spray starter-fluid in there while someone tries to start. If it "starts" strong for a couple seconds before stalling again, that indicates a good spart.

Spark should be bright & blue/white. Yellow is weak. If you have a timing light, that generally won't light up consistently with a weak spark.
