New 2009 4cyl Coupe Owner with questions
Guys,
I recently purchased a 2009 Accord 4 cyl coupe with about 72K on the clock. I have noticed a couple of issues that I'm not sure what to do about.
When I turn on the rear window defroster the radio has a large amount of static on it. Turn the defroster off and the static goes away. I have also noticed that the reception on the radio is not nearly as good as my Civic was in the same area.
Also, When I have the A/C on and get the car cooled down, I have shut the A/C off and it feels to me as though the air is still on. The cold air continues to come out long after the switch is turned off.
Lastly, the wrench warning light has come on. How do I reset the light turning it off? Is the Maintenance Minder (wrench) tied to the oil life indicator (which is down to 15%)?
What do you guys do about the low beam out put? They are like candles!

There is a service bulletin related to the radio issue you are having, TSB #08-088, not covered under warranty, but you could try to get Honda to fix it.
What switch are you turning off on the A/C panel? A/C, Blower? Some air coming from the vents is normal, if the evaporator gets cold enough, the air will stay cold for several minutes depending on outside air temps.
You should have the oil changed, but here is the reset procedure.

You should have the oil changed, but here is the reset procedure.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON (II) position.
- Press the select/reset **** repeatedly until the engine oil life indicator is displayed.
- Press the select/reset **** for about 10 seconds. The engine oil life and the maintenance item code(s) will blink.
- Press the select/reset **** for another 5 seconds. The maintenance item code(s) will disappear, and the engine oil life will reset to "100."
